We partied hard as usual this 4th of July. We started swimming at about 9:30am and swam until the sun went down. We had our Traditional Olympics (best dive, biggest dive, best trick dive, most painful dive, water balloon toss, races, watermelon eating contest) and added a few new messy and exciting events this year (cheesy puff toss & ice cube melt). Our family won a lot of medals but we didn't win the championship trophy. I'm mad about that but not too mad. We ended the night with the sparkler parade and some firework watching. I love my life and the freedoms and opportunities I enjoy daily. I feel so blessed to be an American. Happy 4th!
