Halloween 2012

Happy Halloween from
Diego
                                                          Little Ninja
Nemo or as Wesley says it "momo"
                                           & Pinkalicious.

We went to our ward trunk or treat and we all had a good time! Donuts, hot chocolate and candy!  Jason was above and beyond ecstatic.  Every time someone put a candy in his bucket he would pull it out with the biggest smile on his face and show me.  He was so animated and excited about everything.  It was hilarious.

Perfectly Imperfect.

We went to Town Square the other day. I like going places with the kids. They have fun and get tired and my house doesn't get destroyed in the process.  The kids are so cute and funny and bright.  I know I will desperately miss these times when the kids are older and things aren't so simple any more. When we have to make much bigger and more complicated decisions than what park we want to go to.  I'm always trying to capture the perfect picture as a perfect reminder of these cherished days we spend playing our hearts out.  So here is my best attempt.  Not a single shot is even close to being perfect but they perfectly capture the essence of our life.   My kids are having too much fun to stop and sit still long enough for me to take the perfect picture and you know what, I'm glad about that.

Making Up For Lost Time

Jason was hands down my easiest infant.  He was a content happy little guy and didn't demand a lot of my attention.  Well Jason is hands down my hardest/naughtiest 2 yr old and is demanding almost all my attention these days.  He's stubborn.  He's loud.  He's very very messy.  He's rough especially with Wes. He doesn't listen to me.  When I put him in timeout and attempt to explain why he's in time out it's in one ear and out the other.  Did I mention he's totally crazy?  I'm still trying to figure him out and what works and what doesn't.  He is a tough nut to crack!  I of course love him. Even when he's driving me crazy I love that wild little guy.  He keeps me on my toes and keeps life colorful.
Right before I took this picture Jason shoved his sword right through our window screen and broke it.  Right after the picture was taken he knocked his mug off the table.  The mug broke and hot chocolate was everywhere.  Just a typical morning with this little guy.

Little Luke is 4!

Luke turned 4 October 4th. We sure love him and feel so lucky to have him in our family. He is an especially sweet little guy. He's thoughtful and helpful and cuddly and silly. He has a great laugh and when he bursts into laughter I can't help but join him. He started preschool and loves it. He loves riding his scooter and bike. He is obedient and kind especially to Wesley. He's pretty fantastic!

We decided it was his turn to have a party and we really partied.  We invited all his friends from school and church and they almost all came.  We had about 20 4 year olds over and it was crazy but crazy fun!! We had a carnival theme party. We played a bunch of midway type games that the kids won tickets at.  Later they traded in their tickets for some pretty sweet prizes.  Steve made balloon animals, Aunt Julie came and did face painting and tattoos.  We had corndogs and snowcones and popcorn and a batman cake.  It was really fun and Luke has very generous friends and got totally spoiled in the present department.  So glad we were able to take a day to celebrate Luke and let him feel how special and loved he is.

A Good Day

We met friends at McDonald's today.  We played.  We ate chicken nuggets and french fries.  Then Tiffany bought everyone ice cream.
It was a good day!
