Jason

The other day we were watching Enchanted. The princess had just bitten the poisoned apple. Kate was so into the movie she was yelling at the TV for the prince to kiss the princess. She excitedly said "You have to kiss her. A true loves kiss is the most powerful thing on earth". To which jason sincerely and enthusiastically replied "No it's not. Jesus Christ and scripture power are." His simple and bold testimony touched my heart. I love him.

Jalapeño

The other day Wesley insisted on eating a jalapeño. We told him he couldn't eat it because it was so spicey it would make him cry he threw the biggest temper tantrum begging to eat it. We gave it to him and told him to take a tiny bite. He took a big bite and swallowed with a smile on his face. He told us it wasn't spicey and continued eating eat. You could tell he was trying to breath through the heat but kept denying it was spicey. The crazy kid are half the pepper before Steve took it away from him.

These Two

Rachel and jason have a special bond. They really love each other. They melt my heart.

Let's Make A Deal

Some friends and I dressed up as super Mom's and went on the show let's make a deal. I didn't win a new car but it was still fun.

Girl Time

Had some much needed alone time with my girls.

They are the best I adore them.

Responsibility

I was not surprised when Luke was sent home with a letter from his teacher the first month school saying he was selected to receive the citizenship award of the month.  The months award had the emphasis of responsibility. Luke is such a smart, dedicated, responsible little student.  He takes his learning very seriously. I like that about him.

War

Rachel is my only baby that sucked her thumb. I loved it. She could soothe herself easily anytime any place. She also looked ridicoudsly cute doing it. But she is getting blisters on her thumb and the older she gets the less cute her thumb sucking habit is. So I  decided to declare war. Me versus Rachel and her thumb sucking. I busted out my first weapon and sprayed some nasty stuff on her thumb. She didn't love it, but didn't hate it enough to stop sucking her thumb. I had to up my tactics. I wrapped her thumb in gauze and then wrapped it medical tape. She hated it. It made it impossible for her to suck her thumb.

It took 2 days and I broke her. I won the war!  It was surprisingly easier and less painful than I imagined. Look at her all grown up and sleeping without her thumb in her mouth.
