My Day!

Mothers Day was a good day for me. I got to sleep in.  Steve and the kids brought me breakfast in bed! Kate made me a beautiful bracelet.  Steve bought me a very thoughtful gift. I was told how loved I am about 100 times.

These kiddos keep me insanely busy. It's hard work being a mom. Going to the hospital and working a 12 hour shift taking care of very sick patients almost feels like a break in comparison to the energy it takes to keep  up with my kids.

Even though some days I feel like I'm teetering on the verge of sanity I wouldn't trade spots with anyone in the world. I love my life and I love my kids more than any words could ever describe.  They give me purpose.  They bring me joy.  They teach me valuable lessons. They remind me what's important in life.  They make me laugh. They are so wonderfully innocent and pure. They Love me.  They are a dream come true!

Fire Station Field Trip

Kate's pre-school class went on a field trip to the fire station.  I tagged along with the boys because I knew they would love it! It was really fun. They got to go in  the Big trucks.

They got to squirt the fire hose.

They went on a tour of the entire station. They got to hear the loud alarms.  They got to see all the tools the firemen use. They even got to see the tool they use to cut through cars in action.  They had some metal and they let the kids feel how hard it was and then they used their tool and cut right through it. Kate said seeing that was her very favorite part of the day.
Most importantly the learned some fire safety and had lots of fun! Success!!!

Father & Sons Camp Out

Steve took Luke & Jason to the father & sons camp out. From the stories I heard they all had a great time. Luke was especially jazzed about the guns he got to shoot. He even brought home the gun shells to show us girls. So glad they had a fun opportunity to bond.

Kate & I of course missed the boys but we enjoyed some quality girl time while they were gone. We went and saw the movie  The Lorax and then we went to Yogurtland.

Wesley is 1

My sweet baby Wes is 1 now. I hate how time flies by so fast. He is a crazy little boy and we sure love him lots! Here are some fun facts about Wes.

-When he wants something he lets you know by screaming and his scream cannot be ignored. He sounds like a wild/mad monkey.
-He hates baby food and he doesn't even really like regular food. He prefers the bottle. Not good, I know. We're working on it.
-He has thick curly-ish hair.
-He can stand on his own but he's not walking yet.
-He is by far my most spoiled baby. So he can be a bit needy. We snuggle him every night until he falls asleep and then we put him in his crib.
-He's funny.
-He loves his siblings, they can really make him laugh. His laugh is adoreable.
-He's not gentle. He's always slapping people right in the face.
-He loves balls.
-He loves playing outside.
-He has a special magical soul.

The kids made birthday cupcakes for him and he really taught his cupcake a lesson.

I feel blessed to be his Mom. He is such a sweet little guy and he makes me so happy. I'm excited to watch him learn and grow and develop his personality. Love you Wes!

Broken Head

Luke fell and hit his head on a rocking horse and busted his head up pretty good.  I was cutting chicken  when it happened so I had to wash my hands really good before I could apply pressure ( I hear chicken slime isn't great for fresh wounds).  By the time I got to him there was blood everywhere and the poor kid  freaking out.
This is Luke's 3rd trip to the ER and he was not happy about going he has had some bad experiences. He cheered up a little when Steve got there.
The doctor said he needed stitches but Luke wouldn't even let him take a temperature so we opted for the less traumatic approach and the doctor glued him up. He was pretty brave and I'm so glad he is okay! When people ask him what happened he says, "I broke my head, but it's better now."

Spring Break

We headed to California to spend the week at my parents house for Spring Break.  We had a GOOD time.  We went to Santa Monica beach and played on the pier and then we hit up the sand and ocean.  We built sand castles and ran from the waves.  It was a magical day.
We drove up to Santa Barbara for a couple days. We went to the zoo there. It's an awesome zoo! The kids got to feed the giraffes.

We discovered and played at fun exciting new parks.

We went on a couple Easter egg hunts and got in a lot of good quality time playing with cousins and uncle Dino and Uncle Dom. Kate even got to go into a chicken coup and stick her hand under a chicken and got a freshly laid egg, cool stuff.

We went to Kids Space Museum in Pasadena it was awesome and the kids loved it! We adopted 4 caterpillars there. Kate named her caterpillar Darlie. Luke named his Luke. Jason named his Brown. I named mine Sky. We are anxiously awaiting to watch their transformations.
Steve and I went on a double date with Matt & Michalle to The Cafe Griddle in Hollywood. It's definitely a happening place. We went for breakfast. Wish I would've taken a picture of our food it was amazing. I highly recommend it! That sums up the highlights of our trip. Vacationing with 4 little kids is actually exhausting. It's a lot of work but it was so worth it. The kids had a magical time, therefore so did I.
