Kate is 3!

Kate turned 3 on June 28th and we had a good time celebrating. This year we decided it would be fun to do a Mommy daughter date and a Daddy daughter date. It's not often we get to spend one on one time with her. So for our Mommy daughter date Kate and I went and got manicures and pedicures. I told Kate to pick out any color she wanted and she chose a very dark blue and insisted that was the color she wanted. She seemed a little unsure about what was going on but she quickly warmed up to it and really enjoyed it. It was so cute to see her face light up when she saw the flower the lady had painted on her toe. She was thrilled with the finished product and proudly showed off her freshly painted nails to anyone who was willing to look. Then we headed to the mall where we meandered. Kate loves accessories and enjoys trying things on and picking out things for me. Finally we ended our day at build-a-bear. She picked out a doggie to stuff and bought it some panties and a blow dryer. We had so much fun hanging out just the two of us. I enjoyed spoiling her she is such a good girl.

For the daddy daughter date Steve and Kate went to Town Square and enjoyed walking thru all the misters. Then they went and saw Toy Story 3. Kate's first time going to a movie. They did it up right and got popcorn and licorice and soda. Afterwards they came home and we had a special birthday cake Luke and I made waiting for her.

Kate we love you so much for so many reasons. You are so sweet and nice and funny and big ray of sunshine. You make all our lives brighter and happier. We feel so lucky Heavenly Father sent you to us.
