Jason's Big Day
Jason's doctor was unable to circumsize him as an infant so he was scheduled for outpatient surgery at Summerlin Hospital to get it done today. Just when I think he can't possibly be any more perfect he proves me wrong.
Because he was getting anesthesia I wasn't allowed to feed him anything after 1:00 A.M. We had to check into the hospital at 5:30 and they didn't take him to surgery until 7:30. He was SO good. He was really enjoying exploring his new environment and didn't even fuss at all. About 7:00 I could tell he was getting hungry and tired. I held him and rocked him and he just fell asleep. The nurse took my little sleeping angel out of my arms and I sadly watched as she walked into the operating room. I had to go sit in the waiting room. I waited for 1 1/2 hours and it felt like forever. He did great and everything went well. They brought me back to the recovery room and he was sleeping away. He finally woke up in a happy and drugged state gave me a smile and floated away back into dream land. When we were getting ready to leave the nurse had to take off all the tape on his arm and remove his IV. He didn't even cry. He is seriuosly amazing. I'm so glad everything went so well and I'm so grateful for healthy children!!! Jason you are a rockstar!!

He TOTALLY is a ROCKSTAR! Maybe it's because you keep him tied up?!?
ReplyDeleteWhat a good boy! You had to have been going crazy, waiting for over an hour in the waiting room...I'm VERY happy to hear everything went well.
