Goodbye to Dino

My little brother Dino is leaving tomorrow to serve a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He'll be serving in the Scotland/Ireland mission. He has a strong testimony and he will change lives through his service. He's a good example to me and my children. I'm so grateful for that.

Family traveled to California so we could all be together before Dino leaves. Everyone was there except Dani (who is serving a mission in Florida) and Mike (wish you came I missed you). It was so fun hanging out together. We had a movie slumber party at my patents. My kids are still recovering from the sugar overload.

The next morning we went on a family hike. Everyone did great except Wes who acted like a typical 2 year old most of the time. He's stubborn and crazy but I still love him a lot.

After the hike we went to Matt's to swim and eat. The food was great and the kids had so much fun swimming and playing with each other. 

Then we all gathered together and talked about missions. Dino nailed his plaque to the Called to Serve board my dad made. Then my mom passed out future missionary badges to all the kids with their names on them. 

It was great to get together and support Dino and celebrate him and his decision to serve a mission.
