I signed Kate and Luke up for soccer camp. Luke LOVES it, Kate not so much. Luke is the smallest and youngest one out there but he tries hard, kicks strong, and has fun! Kate usually lasts about 5-10 minutes before she gives up and saunters over to me and reports that she is done playing because she fell down and nobody helped her up. She barely tries and she sits on her ball during drills. Sometimes it's frustrating because I paid money and I want her to participate but I refuse to be that obnoxious parent who forces their kid to do things they don't want to do. Kate is not the sporty type, lesson learned.
Her favorite part of soccer camp is when it's over and they get to play in the water. The boys love it too!
Sometimes getting us all there on time and in good spirits is a challenge, but I go crazy just sitting at home all day so in my opinion the effort is worth it. We usually come home happy and tired and ready for naps.
Oh man I hear ya - It's tough getting out the door these days but it's so needed. The fact is, it's tougher staying home all day!
ReplyDeleteThey looks so cute with their knee socks. That's great that he's starting early. Gabby starts soccer camp in a couple of weeks too. I'm expecting her to react much like Kate. lol
