Us in a nutshell

I created this blog a long time ago and have yet to post a thing. So thanks to a few friends for your interest in me and encouragement to hurry up and get blogging. So here it is my first official blog post! I guess I'll start with a brief overview of the past few years. I married Steve ( who is my perfect match and I feel so lucky we found each other) in March 2006. We really lived it up as a young married couple for all of 15 months until our sweet Kate joined us on 6/28/07. She is great! She's very sweet and an easygoing kid. So we decided lets have another and Luke joined the family on 10/4/2008. He is CRAZY. He's a lot of fun and trouble but we still love him! We feel like we are in the baby zone. We figured why not have another one and so we did. Jason was born on 1/14/2010 and is possibly the sweetest baby in the whole world! I love being a mom and spending time with my kids. They are so much work but I experience moments with each of them everyday that make it all worth while.

Steve got his contractors license and we started up our very own business called Silver Sate Sheet Metal. Things were going great and we really thought we were going to be rich! Turns out we were wrong. When the recession hit we got hit pretty hard. We had to cut our loses, close the doors and come up with another plan. Steve was offered a decent job working for another construction company but he decided he'd like to do something different. He just got accepted into an accelerated nursing program and will have his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 12 months. He is not totally thrilled about being a nurse (I have shared to many graphic nurse experiences with him) but hopes to go on and get his CRNA and administer anesthesia. We are very excited about plan B and looking forward to the change and opportunities it will bring to our family. Life hasn't been exactly what we were expecting but despite all the unexpected twists we feel truly blessed and are genuinely happy. Life is good at the Edington home.
